This section contains well over a 100 types of low voltage lamps .. we have capsule halogens , dichroics and LED lamps as wells as components such as the low voltage connectors and retaining clips , downlight fittings and low voltage lighting transformers

The low voltage lamp range is probably one of the widest on the web .. with over 100 different types of lamp currently in stock . All our low voltage lamps are ' closed ' which denotes they have a lens cover to protect the bulb . These lamps are available from a minimum of 2000 Hours through to a range of 10,000 hour rated Xenon lamps . The Philips Masterline ES MR16 halogen lamp range offer 40% saving on power and 40% less heat output , we have a cool back version , Natural Daylight versions and coloured MR11 and MR16 Halogens . We also stock components ( sockets and clips ) downlight fittings and low voltage transformers .

The MR8 ( 25mm ) lamps are the smallest of the dichroic range and are available in 12 Volts only . The MR11 ( 35mm ) are available in 6 Volts ( limited range ) and 12 Volts . These range of halogens have a lens cover and are commonly known as ' closed ' denoting that there is a lens . We have a range of coloured MR11's and a range of LED versions with 6 LED's . These LED versions may also require a special transformer such as the Tridonic transformer which is designed to operate these LED lamps as they have a very power consumption of 1.8 watt approx . The MR11 lamps are available in a variety of wattages and types include M252 FTB , M251 FTC , M262 FTD , M265 FTE , M266 FTE , M2199 FTH .

The MR16 ( 50mm ) halogen lamps are probably the most common found , we have an extensive range of the lamps from standard 3000 Hour to Xenon filled 10,000 Hour long life lamps We have a range of 24 Volt MR16 Halogens and Natural Daylight versions - ' Cool Back ' versions designed to reduce the heat and light that emitted from the back of the dichroic reflector .. available in Clear - Silver and Black backed and a comprehensive range of coloured lamps including the Pro-lite Procolour range . The MR16 LED version have 20 LED's in the MR16 case .These LED versions may also require a special transformer such as the Tridonic transformer which is designed to operate these LED lamps as they have a very power consumption of 1.8 watt approx .

These lamps are most energy-efficient dichroic lamp on the market . Unique Philips patented infrared coated double ended burner with the highest possible efficiency( 40% better then standard products ) . Heat-reflecting coating on the inner lamp burner reflects waste heat back to the filament so less energy is needed to operate the lamp . Lowest UV output for a dichroic lamp reduces fading risks to absolute minimum. Available in wattages from 20 to 45 Watt . Common applications are accent and general lighting applications in homes, shops, hotels and restaurants, where energy efficiency and low maintenance are important and especially in art galleries, museums and exhibitions.
